Experience

For more than fifteen years we have advised foreign investors and Turkish companies on cross-border work: company formation and structuring in Türkiye, distribution and supply agreements, commercial litigation and enforcement proceedings, domestic and international arbitration, enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitral awards, debt recovery in Türkiye and abroad, ship sale and purchase and carriage contracts, and renewable energy projects.

Academic outlook

Av. Dr. Mustafa Aykanat completed his PhD at Ankara University on foreign investment agreements and his LL.M. in international commercial law at the University of Leicester. He teaches at the Law of Obligations and Commercial Law chair of OSTİM Technical University. Alongside practice he publishes comparative studies ranging from the general maxims of the Mecelle to modern commercial law and international arbitration; some of them are in the Insights section. That academic outlook lets us assess a dispute or a contract not only as it stands today but through the principles it rests on.
