Enter the date of service (or notification) and the time limit. The calculator estimates the last day under Turkish procedural rules, taking weekends, public holidays and the judicial recess into account.
Estimated last day
Which rules does the calculator apply?
| Periods in days | The starting day is not counted; the period ends at the close of working hours on the last day (Code of Civil Procedure, HMK Art. 92/1). |
| Weeks, months, years | The period ends on the corresponding day; if there is no corresponding day in that month, on the last day of the month (HMK Art. 92/2). |
| Last day is a holiday | If the last day falls on a public holiday (including weekends), the period ends on the next working day (HMK Art. 93). |
| Judicial recess | 20 July – 31 August. In civil and administrative proceedings, a period ending during the recess is extended by one week from the end of the recess (HMK Arts. 102–104, Administrative Procedure Law Art. 61); in criminal proceedings by three days (Code of Criminal Procedure Art. 331). |
Points to note
- For matters that continue during the recess (urgent matters such as interim measures, maintenance or eviction), choose “Judicial recess does not apply”.
- The eve of a religious holiday (arife) is a half day. If the last day falls on one, the calculator warns you but does not extend the period; acting before noon is safest.
- For electronic service (UETS / e-Tebligat), service is deemed made at the end of the fifth day after delivery to the electronic address. The calculator takes the date you enter as the date of service.
- Some periods start or run differently under special laws (enforcement, tax, employment); check the specific rule for your case.
